Despite record overnight stays at campsites, motorhome sales in Austria remain low. The key reason cited is the NoVA tax, which makes motorhomes 40-45% more expensive in Austria than in Germany. In 2025, only 2,054 new motorhomes were sold in Austria, representing 2.5% of the German market.
