A fire broke out in a caravan in Nógrád County, Hungary. Preliminary reports indicate one person was inside the vehicle at the time of the incident.

The online marketplace Truck1 will serve as the media partner for the Caravan Salon Hungary 2026. The event is scheduled for February 19-22 in Budapest, showcasing the latest motorhomes, caravans, and camping gear. Since 2003, Truck1 has facilitated the sale and lease of RVs, connecting dealers and travel enthusiasts across Europe.

Hungary has changed its toll payment rules for motorhomes weighing over 3.5 tonnes. From this year, they have switched from a per-kilometre payment system using a GPS device to the standard electronic vignette system, which can be purchased online. The rules for lighter motorhomes and other vehicles remain unchanged.

As of January 1, 2026, Hungary has changed its road toll rules for motorhomes. Vehicles with a maximum authorized mass over 3500 kg have been moved from the truck category to the D2 category, eliminating the need for complex on-board units. They now only require an e-vignette, purchased online, similar to lighter motorhomes.

A motorhome was completely destroyed by fire in the yard of a family home in Mogyoród. The fire also threatened a nearby residential building, but professional firefighters from Gödöllő contained and extinguished the blaze.
