The city of Tokorozawa has signed an agreement with VANTECH Co., Ltd. to rent motorhomes in the event of a large-scale disaster. The agreement, signed on February 9, aims to provide mobile living quarters for evacuees and to use the vehicles for infection control and rescue operations.

The Hokkaido government has signed an agreement with the Japan RV Association to utilize motorhomes as bases for rescue operations in disaster areas. The pact was signed on January 13 with the association, which comprises 169 manufacturers and dealers nationwide. This will enable the deployment of self-contained mobile units to affected regions.
