Caravan and motorhome owners face permanent ban in tourist hotspot

A bench warrant has been issued for the arrest of a couple illegally parking a caravan on a public road in Limerick city centre. Victoria Faulkner and Calvin Moran have repeatedly refused to comply with a council enforcement notice to move the vehicle. The man had previously received a suspended sentence for a similar offence in October 2025.

A planning application has been submitted for a new 10-pitch campervan park on the outskirts of Naran, County Donegal. The proposed facility would include parking bays, a service building with showers and toilets, and landscaped areas. The aim is to accommodate an estimated 35 visitors at capacity and reduce campervan congestion along the Naran beachfront. A decision on the application is expected in February 2026.
