Overland South - camping and off-road on 6000 acres in South Carolina
Overland South is an autumn getaway event for life-on-wheels fans, held November 7-9, 2025 at Woodlands Nature Reserve, a 6,000-acre private reserve near Charleston, South Carolina. Participants can camp in tents, motorhomes, campers, converted buses and other travel-ready vehicles. The area offers 30 miles of dirt roads and forest trails, lakes, and designated night driving zones.
The program includes blacksmith demos, reptiles from Edisto Serpentarium, outdoor yoga, night movie screenings, Safari Supper dinners, Challenge Course competitions and group photos. There are kayak tours in marshlands, radio communication sessions, suspension tuning workshops and nature walks. Sunday features a style run competition with vehicles ranging from Humvee to Unimog.
Participation is limited to 300 vehicles. The campsite has no power or water, and follows a pack it in, pack it out policy. Zones include Generator Alley, Quiet Cove and The Wild Side.
