A Dutch man spent five years converting a 1992 Neoplan Skyliner double-decker bus into a residential vehicle. The project, which cost over 15,000 euros, required an estimated 20 hours of work per week. The motorhome has a fuel consumption of approximately 3-4 kilometers per liter.

A Portuguese couple converted a 2007 Peugeot Boxer van into a motorhome themselves. The project, costing around 23,000 euros, took ten months, with many interior parts, including the bathroom, being 3D-printed. The couple now lives full-time in the motorhome and is learning Mandarin for a planned trip to China.
