The Piteå Environmental and Supervisory Board is taking strict action against a property owner in the camping industry for ongoing illegal wastewater discharge. Despite a 2021 prohibition, the company continues to release inadequately treated sewage from toilets and greywater, posing risks to the environment and public health. A new injunction, backed by a potential fine of 350,000 SEK, has now been issued to halt the discharges.
