The Blue Oak RV Park in Texas is closing permanently following a devastating flood over the Fourth of July weekend. Four people died at the park, and the owners sustained over $2 million in damages. After being denied a federal disaster loan three times, the family-run business and its adjoining restaurant are shutting down for good.

The Flying Saucer RV Park in Sheridan, Colorado, will close by the end of June to be replaced by a 362-unit apartment complex. The closure eliminates 162 low-cost spots, forcing out long-term residents as the area faces an affordable housing shortage. The developer plans to hire a consultant to assist residents with relocation.

The Lake Tulloch RV Campground & Marina in Jamestown, California, has closed immediately and permanently. Management cited circumstances beyond their control that made safe and financially sustainable operations impossible. The site was a primary public access point to the lake, as most of the north shore is privately owned.

The Mecklenburg County Planning Commission unanimously rejected a proposal for a 25-unit RV campground. The 16-acre project near Kerr Lake was subject to 40 conditions, including bans on generators and permanent structures. The denial followed strong community opposition citing traffic, noise, and existing camping alternatives in the area.

The Sandpoint City Council will decide whether to lease or sell the City Beach RV Park land to Averill Hospitality, which says its planned Sandpoint Lakeside Resort cannot proceed otherwise. The RV park generates over $94,000 annually for the city's parks fund, and a $1 million renovation is planned. A 1922 covenant may restrict the land to park use, complicating a sale.
