The British manufacturer Wheelhome has developed the Dashaway eCT, a lightweight camping trailer derived from an earlier, unsuccessful roof tent concept. The trailer weighs 340 kg, measures 3.8m long and expands to 1.83m wide when deployed, featuring a lithium battery, a 200W solar panel, and an induction cooktop. It is designed to be towed by small and electric vehicles and is priced at approximately 30,000 euros.

A 19-year-old from Germany, exploiting a legal loophole for 16-year-olds to drive light motor vehicles up to 45 km/h, converted a moped into a camper with his father. The 130-hour build resulted in a vehicle with a foldable roof tent, a tea kitchen, and storage, which he used to travel through Germany and France to Spain. The 40-hour one-way journey covered 20,000 km without major breakdowns, despite avoiding highways.
