Gimje Daeyul Auto Camping Site marks one year with rising visitor numbers

In an episode of EBS show 'Seo Jang-hoon's Millionaire Neighbor', the hosts visit a private campsite owned by Ra Je-geon, whose company controls 90% of the global premium tent pole market. Ra Je-geon, dubbed the 'King of Tents', has designed over 3,000 tent models in 38 years. The program features Seo and Jang testing an ultra-light camping chair that supports up to 200 kg and exploring a tent equipped with a kitchen, living room, bedroom, and cinema room.

The fire department of South Gyeongsang Province, South Korea, issued a warning about carbon monoxide poisoning amid a surge in camping and car camping activities. The agency noted that CO is colorless, odorless, and tasteless, and binds to hemoglobin 200 times more strongly than oxygen. It advised against using open flames in tents or vehicles, recommended installing CO detectors, and ensuring two-way ventilation.

Daeyul Auto Camping in Gimje, North Jeolla Province, South Korea, has seen a surge in weekend visitors. Booking rates exceed 90%, attracting families with children.

Baramjae Auto Camping in Sejong, located about 15 minutes from downtown, offers 14 motorhome sites. Fees range from 30,000 to 50,000 KRW depending on weekday, weekend, or peak season. Weekdays see fewer visitors, making reservations easier and the atmosphere quieter. Facilities include showers, toilets, sinks, a shared refrigerator, and a microwave.

Yeongbyeokjeong Auto Camping, located in Hwasun County, South Jeolla Province, South Korea, offers camping on a site of approximately 16,500 sq m. The campground operates 24/7 year-round, with weekend rates of 30,000 won per night. Facilities include tent sites, a caravan zone, burners, showers, and restrooms, along with walking trails to the historic Yeongbyeokjeong pavilion.

A glamping caravan park named Youth Glamping Caravan has opened in Gapyeong County, Gyeonggi Province, South Korea. The site covers 5,000 m² and is located near the Hangang Geumdae-ri Leisure Town. It offers glamping tents and caravans, plus campfire areas. Entry is free, but accommodation requires advance booking. Smoking and pets are prohibited on the premises.
